Howdy! I’ve always been called Clarence for all of my 8 years. But maybe they should have called me “Rover”. I lived with a family in north Georgia and I couldn’t resist the urge to roam. I was picked up by the shelter people more than once! Then my people would bail me out and back home I’d go but when no one was looking – off I’d be again! You know the problem was that I was just plain lonesome. A Golden can’t stand being outside in the yard all by themselves with no one to talk to — no one to keep them company. So I just set out to find a little entertainment. Do you blame me? I have always made friends easily and everyone liked to hug my neck so how does staying in the yard with NOTHING compare to that? Unfortunately my life outside, combined with my owner NOT giving me the medicine I needed, ended up with me getting heartworms. That meant I had to have treatment for them and that cost $500. Two very special goldens asked their mom to help me and she did. I went to a foster home that took wonderful care of me while going through my treatment. Once I was all better I went to adoption day where I was a huge hit and met my new forever parents and my new sister Lady Grace, an 11-yr old black Cocker Spaniel. They are retired and have plenty of time to spend with me at our lake home so I’ll never have any need to roam. Love Clarence.
