Clooney, a wonderful 18 month old male golden retriever, was one day away from being put to death in a gas chamber. We had gone to the shelter to pick up another dog and found him on death row. We could not leave him. He is a real cuddle bug but he also loves to play. So we found Clooney a home where he will get plenty of play time and tons of belly rubs. Clooney has been adopted by a wonderful man who came to us in search of a constant companion. He is a real active guy and already has lots of hikes and road trips planned. Dad also has two young nephews that visit often and love dogs. Clooney is the perfect boy for dad and the connection was instant. Dad plans to work from home one day a week to spend some extra quality time with his boy. And when dad has to go into work Clooney will get to play all day at doggie day care. Really, Clooney’s got the best of both worlds. He gets all this play time with other dogs but when Clooney’s at home it’s just him and dad and all the love and attention a dog could ask for. He’s come a long way from death row and we know from here on out Clooney’s days are sure to be golden!
