Look closely and you will see Cocoa, the dashaund snuggling with Ginger, the golden. They are both 4 years old and have been together all of their lives. We have promised their former owners we would keep them together. Their former family is having a baby and couldn’t afford the furry kids anymore – both time and money! They were a little sad but now their tails are wagging fiercely again because our resident odd couple have certainly found their perfect home! When their new parents called about them, mom was hyperventilating in the process of asking about them – well okay maybe not but almost! It turns out that mom and dad have not only had Goldens in the past, but they have had Goldens and Doxies at the same time. What are the odds of that? After their first meeting they stopped to buy tags for them on their way home! Ginger and Cocoa will both live the Golden life in a country-club setting, with an empty nester family and lots of grandkids who already know all about dogs.
