Meet Colonel Sanders – a five year old male Great Pyrenees who was found at a Kentucy Fried Chicken begging for chicken and visiting their dumpster. He is really calm and easy going and just wants attention. He likes you to feed him cheeseburgers and pet, pet, pet him. If you get on the floor with him he will roll over on his back and lift his front leg so you can rub his belly. Then he just goes to sleep. He is a big time nudge and he sits and lifts his paw to get your attention. Nothing rattles him- nothing. He does like to watch where you go if you leave the room but people coming and going, other dogs and noises he just doesn’t react. He also likes cheese crackers with peanut butter. He drools when he eats but is not a “gobbler”- takes food from your fingers very gently. He is wonderful with other dogs and children. He will require a raised water dish (he isn’t the neatest drinker). The Colonel weighs in at 113 pounds. He had his tail amputated when younger so he looks like a big polar bear. He is sooo cool. Colonel knew exactly what he was doing when he picked his foster parents. They fell head over heels in love with him and couldn’t handle the thought of giving him up. He is one big happy boy!
