Connick, a one year old male purebred golden was a stray and was scheduled to be put down at the shelter because no one claimed him. We couldn’t believe how no one claimed this beautiful dog. He was confused and scared and we knew just the right foster home to place Connick in. You see, they had recently lost their golden boy and their female golden, Charlotte was grieving along with the rest of the family. Connick arrived and we have to admit that those first couple of days were a little rocky. His foster Mom and Dad hadn’t had a young, energetic pup for sometime… and Charlotte didn’t know what to think. But as the days passed, Charlotte sat Mom down and asked to keep him. Our plan had worked!! We were happy to lose this foster home because Connick did his job – he filled a little part of the whole in their hearts – including Charlotte’s!
