Cooper, this 16 months old purebred male golden, was turned in to us because he constantly ran through his invisible fence. Being on a tie-out was simply not good for him and his owners realized that. Cooper doesn’t get along with all dogs. He exhibited fear around some which may mean he has been attacked by other dogs — particularly if he was on a tie out or during one of his escapes. Cooper was a very sweet dog who needed some basic manners. So we sent him to doggie boot camp where he was whipped into shape. Now a very well behaved little guy Cooper has a new mom and dad who just adore him and a new name, Oliver. Oliver’s mom is a nurse so she’s very nurturing and dad is tons of fun. He loves to act like a golden retriever and he and Oliver roll around on the floor and play ball. Oliver’s mom and dad are newly married so he’s their first child and boy do they spoil him. Oliver even gets to sleep in their bed. When we last saw Oliver he was in the car heading to grandma and grandpa’s house to meet all his new cousins and play in the yard. Oliver is eating up all this attention. We’re pretty sure he won’t be trying to runaway any time soon.
