UPDATE: AFTER A FULL YEAR OF TRYING TO MODIFY HIS BEHAVIOR AND GETTING HIM TRAINED ON THE CLICKER WITH GREAT PROGRESS, UNFORTUNATELY COOPER HAD TO BE EUTHANIZED FOR ATTACKING AND BITING HIS FOSTER. THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME BUT THE WORST BECAUSE HE DIDN’T LET GO. AGA TRIED AND COOPER TRIED. R.I.P. COOPER. BACKGROUND: I am a handsome, intelligent 3-year-old purebred golden boy. Unfortunately I’ve experienced a great deal of pain in my life. I had two elbow operations when I was a pup, then my owner sent me away to a trainer to learn how to act and she didn’t know until I came back that he was way too rough with me. Frankly I was confused and kind of grouchy. When I came to AGA they immediately noticed I was walking funny and it turned out my hip was fractured. No wonder I was grumpy. Since then I’ve had two hip operations but am now on the mend. I’ve had a lot of things taken away from me so I guard what’s mine. I am learning to share but need a calm, patient family who is not too bossy and will learn to look for my signals and understand me. I am a quick learner but need someone to show me the ropes but not be too bossy. I love people and other dogs but am too complicated for kids. I know my new family and I can build a beautiful relationship over time. Please ask about meeting me. Your friend, Cooper Knox
