I am four years old and once I was adopted from a shelter in Turkey. Those people decided they didn’t want me and just left me far away at another place I’d never seen before. People felt sorry for me and gave me food and one day a nice lady helped me to get back to the shelter where I came from. I was pretty discouraged but I’m not one to just give up and then I heard I was going to America! I’m kind of a big girl and that crate was a little tight but I didn’t care – I was on my way! My gosh what an adventure! I was soon adopted by my mom and three boy goldens. Those boys decided they wanted a girl dog and not another boy (like mom was wanting). So you can see who makes the decisions around here! My new brothers told me that our mom was the leader of a whole pack of goldens and people who love goldens, I could see that I was sent here just to train her to handle problems that might come up. First I broke her fence a couple of times (I think the boys told on me) but she was pretty cool about that. Then I acted growly when I had to go to the dog doctor. They put a cage thing on my nose- how humiliating! So far, she seems to be handling problems pretty well. Now I’m the one that has a trainer- how funny is that? They think they have the upper paw- ha ha! Besides all this, Mom has decided to call me “Annie” – she says I look like an “Annie”. I don’t know what an “Annie” looks like but if it makes her happy, I’m happy! Oops, I hear Mom calling (should I “hear” her or not?) but before I decide I want to say a million thanks to Bobby and Jeannie Haralson for being my sponsor and helping so many goldens. You are the best! Lots of love, Cotton Candy (now Annie) P.S. I’m going to answer her- I think it’s play time! Where is my tennis ball? It must be swim time!
