Did you ever hear of “Davy”??? I never have but I was named after him. He was called a frontiersman and that makes me a frontiersdog. See, I was the first golden to step foot in this new country – just like Davy I am adventurous and an pioneer! I am just 2 years old and my favorite things are walking and swimming and getting attention from people! And all of those things I get with my new family. I didn’t have a family in Turkey so I wasn’t sure what one was but I’m finding out. My mom and dad found me at adoption day and she cried when she met me. I was afraid I had made her sad but she had been missing her other golden who went to be an angel. When she saw me she was really happy because she had been lonely and she knew, right away, she wanted me to keep her company. Now I sleep on my own bed next to her and she said she’ll will “spoil” me. I don’t suppose anyone “spoiled” Davy. Well, he will never know what he missed- “spoiling” is treats and soft beds and attention and having your own home. Thank you Turkey volunteers and AGA volunteers and especially John and Jane Pendergast who sponsored me in memory of “Ruffles”. Your grateful friend, Crockett.
