My name is Cuba, and I’m a 4-year-old flat-coated retriever mix with a happy heart, a wiggly body, and always ready for an adventure! I was placed on the urgent list at a local shelter and thought no one was coming for me… but AGA did. Now I’m ready to find my forever family and start the life I’ve been waiting for.

I’m ready to find a forever family who can keep up with my fun-loving spirit. I’m about 60 pounds, very affectionate, and love being with my people… whether we’re out exploring, playing with toys, splashing in water, or snuggling on the couch afterward.

I’m a smart, food-motivated boy who knows several commands and responds really well to training. I’m crate-trained and house-trained (I even signal when I need to go outside!). I am also getting better and better on leash walks every day. I am dog-friendly and have been non-reactive to cats.

I’d make a great companion for an active person or family who enjoys hiking, running, long walks, or outdoor adventures. While I’m athletic and energetic, my foster feels I could do well with or without a fenced yard as long as I get enough exercise and structure. I would also be best in a home with older kids instead of younger ones.
