Daisy, a sweet 10 year old girl, had had a pretty good life. She had always been Dad’s girl and when Dad got Mom, Daisy loved her too. Then she got 3 kids to raise and life was good. Until the kids started breaking out with big spots – allergic reactions to Daisy! After numerous medications didn’t work,the doctors said Daisy had to go. Everyone was heartbroken. They called us and begged us to find a special home for Daisy. She was 10 years old and didn’t know anyone else. They were worried. When we picked her up, she was all packed – her bed, bowls and even her own Xmas stocking. She, too, looked worried. But we had a plan … one of our most favorite families had recently lost their beloved ‘Bear’ to old age. They had another golden but everyone in the family missed old Bear -even the other golden. We asked them to foster Daisy – just for a short time until we could find her a special home (wink). Well, we knew when Mom picked Daisy up it was love at first sight. As they pulled out of the parking lot, Daisy was sitting up front in the passenger seat having a conversation. Little did we know (wink) that it was about Daisy coming to live with them. Daisy charmed her way into their hearts and we hear her Xmas stocking is hanging along side sister Lilly’s. Daisy called the other day – she said she already got her Xmas present — a new family to love and no one is allergic! She wanted to thank her first family for caring so much — it’s OK Dad – she’s OK.
