Meet Daisy 6 (a popular name) who is about 8 years old. Her family brought her in to a north Georgia shelter and said, “we don’t want her no more.” Well, we did. She is a real sweetheart. She likes everyone and everything. She is that classic golden retriever. Unfortunately, she has heartworms and has to undergo treatment to kill them. She made it through her first treatment but we were all concerned because she had such a severe case. We ask one of our vets if he and his family who had adopted from us before if they would care for her for a couple of weeks. We felt Daisy had a better chance if she was with them should anything go wrong. Well, Daisy is so happy in her new temporary home and her foster family is so happy with her, we asked if they would just keep looking after her. We got an immediate yes and then found out Daisy already had her own bed and all her own toys… that Daisy was considered part of the family and fit in perfectly. In fact, Daisy was the children’s FAVORITE dog and Mom’s Favorite. We couldn’t dream of a better place for Daisy to live. She is now safe and is very much loved. Thank you Dr. Shell and family.
