Daisy, a wonderful 4.5 year old female purebred golden, came to us from Alabama where her family could no longer take care of her. A gentle and loving girl Daisy was a great match for a family with small children. While she is very thunderphobic, Daisy just needed someone to be there and calm her fears. Well, Daisy went home to Alabama! A wonderful retired couple with grandchildren drove all the way over to meet her. Daisy’s new Mom kept saying, “it’s not just us, Daisy will have to pick us”. And that’s just what happened. We left Daisy off lead in a large enclosed area with other people and dogs. Daisy walked right over to her new Mom and literally sat right down in front of her and looked up at her. Well, Mom got teary eyed and the rest of story ended when we saw Mom, Dad and Daisy walking away like they had been together all their lives. Mom promised to get Daisy through the Alabama storms and the only controversy was whether Daisy was going to be a War Eagle or Tide fan. We’re thinking Mom will win that battle – Go War Eagles!
