UPDATE: DAISY WAS READY TO BE ADOPTED AND IT WAS DISCOVERED SHE WAS IN RENAL FAILURE. WE HAVE MADE DAISY A PERMANENT FOSTER WITH THE FAMILY WHO WAS PLANNING TO ADOPT HER. CROSS ALL PAWS THAT DAISY WILL REACT WELL TO HER MEDICATION AND SPECIAL FOOD AND WILL LIVE A LONG LIFE — Background: That’s me, Daisy, daisy- like the song. I am 5 years old and my owner took me to an animal shelter and just left me and walked away. They didn’t even let me stay to have some turkey. I guess they didn’t like me anymore but everyone says I am the sweetest dog ever so I don’t think I did anything wrong- they did! I haven’t had good doctor care because I have ear infections and, worst of all, heartworms. I was hoping to get a kind person to give me $500 for the medicine I need to get rid of those awful things. And a kind dog did!!Wrigley Patiz(AGA 2010) had her family sponsor me for my heartworm treatment and paid $500. Wrigley said he was so greatful that AGA found him a loving home! Wrigley said: “my family says I’m the best dog in the world!! They love me and I love them SOOOO much and I hope you get a family as good as mine!”. My doctor is going to fix my ears too so they don’t hurt anymore. Maybe I’m lucky I had to leave my home because without medicine a dog can die from heartworms. I am beginning to think that some things happen for the best so I am going to look forward to finding a brand, new family. I think one is out there waiting! Wrigley says so! I don’t have a whole bunch of daisies but I can give you one! Your friend with love, -Daisy.
