Dakota is a 7 month female golden who came from south Georgia. Her owner could no longer afford to care for her. Dakota has bad hips and will be going through swim therapy to strengthen her hip muscles. She also had inverted eyelashes and her former vet botched that surgery and her eyes are droopy. Dakota went into one of our loving foster homes and now she is there to stay. Her foster parents simply love her, not too mention so do her new canine siblings. Mom reports that Dakota also has a furry chipmunk friend too. She sits in the window staring at this chipmunk all day – and the chip stares back. Even through the glass they have established a friendship. Her goldens friends are AGA alumni Buddy and Boss. Her foster family is really special, as Boss was previously adopted with a broken leg. And we have to thank them again because sadly, Dakota is experiencing kidney failure. Her foster family has vowed to give her as many happy months they can. Even with her problems, Dakota is the sweetest of sweet dogs. Dakota holds her foster family inside a really special place – her sweet, sweet, pure golden heart!
