Dixie is a 3 year old female golden who has spent most of her life in an igloo in the back yard (unless it rained for 3 days in a row when she got to come into the basement). Dixie is a great dog. She just wants to love and please you. Dixie thought she had a forever family but they gave up on her and returned her in less than 2 weeks because she would run off when she wasn’t leashed or in a confined area (a very normal behavior particularly for a newly adopted dog.) Dixie was taken back to her foster family but now we’ve found her a forever home we know will stick! Dixie has been adopted by a wonderful family. She now has her very own mom and dad, fenced in yard, and golden sister Abby. Dixie also has two cats, Kitty and Taz, but they’re not as fun as Abby. Mom and dad work from home so Dixie is finally getting all the unconditional love and attention we promised!
