Meet Draper – a dapper 4 year old dog from Alabama. Draper was found as a stray and put in the clinker. But some kind people took a look at that face and then figured out he had been shaved and he wasn’t a lab but was a golden retriever! One call is all that was needed. Our Alabama volunteers mobilized and got him to Atlanta. Once here we were able to find this lucky boy the perfect new home! Mom and dad adopted Caymus from us a year ago. They also have a 12 year old golden, Sandy, who is in remission from cancer and doing very well. They wanted a playmate for Caymus for quite some time but it wasn’t until they met Draper that they decided to adopt. They fell for his cute little charms instantly. Now Draper is named Frazier (after a vineyard, as is Caymus) and on his way to the good golden life. He will be very loved at this house as his new parents treat their dogs like their children. Draper will have two new golden sisters, a work from home mom, and get to take trips to the lake most of the year round where he will get to swim and also play with all the other dogs on the dock. Mom has already reported that Draper and Caymus are playing non stop and seem to have bonded already. They even want to walk next to each other on the leash and bump hips as they go. Very cute – sometimes it really is all about the connection. These furry friends are a perfect match.
