Drover

My name is Drover, and I’m a 7.5 year-old golden boy, who weight about 67 pounds, and is ready to the next chapter of their life to begin.

For years, I helped bring beautiful puppies into the world. When it was time for me to retire, my breeder wanted to make sure I found the very best home. She loves and cares for me deeply, was always very selective about where her retired dogs went, and trusted AGA to help me find the perfect family.

So, now it’s my turn. I’m still learning what life inside a home is all about, and every day brings something new. I am mostly house-trained and getting more comfortable with my foster family each day. Once I feel comfortable, I love getting attention, and I have the cutest smile when I’m happy!

I’ll do best in a home with another friendly dog to help show me the ropes, a securely fenced yard where I can safely explore, and people who understand that everything from couches to televisions is still pretty new to me. I am also not a fan of thunder and probably not fireworks either.

I’m looking for a patient family who will let me learn at my own pace and celebrate all of my little milestones. I may be a little behind on life’s lessons, but I have a lifetime of love to make up for.
