Drysdale, our sweet blond boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge sometime last night. Drysdale had come from an Alabama shelter where he was on death row. He was very thin when we got him and he had been with a loving foster family where he was able to gain some weight and get healthier. Yesterday he went to the vet to be neutered. They found a mass but proceeded with the surgery. He came through it and was fine but in the middle of the night he must have thrown a clot. He died peacefully in his sleep. We can take comfort knowing we gave him the best 3 weeks of his life. He had a swimming pool and other dogs to play with and he had a foster mom and dad who showed him that people could be kind and loving. We are sure Drysdale will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for us.
