Duke, a 2 year old male purebred golden, came to us because his family didn’t have time for him… busy lives and Duke wasn’t asked to participate much. So, Duke asked them to find him a home with kids to play with and a mom and dad who would exercise him and take him swimming and just plain spoil him. They agreed since they loved him. Duke was full of personality and placed in a foster home with two other rescued dogs, one a golden retriever. They welcomed Duke with open paws. Duke’s foster family loved him dearly but they had no intention of adopting another dog. When people began to come and see Duke it became apparent that Duke had found his way into his foster parents heart and they were not prepared to let him go. So now Duke’s foster home will be his forever home and no one could be happier. Of course we always seem to lose our favorite fosters this way, but we know it’s for the best.
