Duke, a wonderful 18 month old male golden, was turned into us, along with his sister Princess. Their owner was moving and told us “take them – I can’t”. He is a happy dude who just wants to please. Duke had lived outside during the day and in the garage at night. Princess was all he had to keep him company and show him love. We are so happy to report that Duke and Princess have been adopted by the same wonderful family and they will now be able to share a future together forever. Duke’s new family came to us after their 9 year old chocolate lab, Teddy, passed away from pancreatic cancer. Mom and dad tried everything they could but the cancer spread too fast. They had so much doggie love to give that they decided the only thing better than adopting a adopting a golden retriever is adopting two! Mom and dad were so happy to welcome two new dogs into their home and their hearts. They even did some extra special yardwork just to be sure Duke and Princess have plenty of room for wrestling around and chasing tennis balls. It’s sure to be a royal forever for this golden duo!
