Duke was a 6 year old male golden retriever. He was found after the tornadoes in North Georgia and his owners were never located. He went to stay with a couple while they tried to find his owners to no avail. AGA was asked to help and we were glad to help Duke find a wonderful new home and family. Duke, unfortunately had heartworms and needed a sponsor to pay for his medical treatment ($500). Thanks to two former AGA orphans, Danali and Jackson Stone, Duke was going to get all better in no time. A former AGA adopter fostered Duke through his heartworm treatment. As he started feeling better his foster and Reece (her AGA dog), and her cat all discovered he is a playful and happy 6-year-old boy who loves to play and be with his peeps. Duke met many potential adopters over the months, but never found the right match. It finally hit his foster that she couldn’t let him go. We think Duke and Reece knew that all this time.
