Here I am again to tell you I am adopted and unlike my other life, I won’t have to stay alone any more. I will have people to play with me and I won’t be lonesome ’cause I have a new mom and even a grandpa. My mom is a volunteer with AGA so I will be a volunteer dog. It will be my job to tell everyone that adopting a grown up dog (I’m 7), is a smart thing to do. We’re all settled and know lots of things that the kid dogs don’t know and we can concentrate on just making you happy and keeping you company. When I first got here I wasn’t sure what would happen because my doctor found out I had heartworms from not getting the medicine I was supposed to get every month. A lady named Beth Chandler sent $500 to pay for me to get well (I’ll never forget such a nice thing to do) and then I tried out a family but they said that I turned out to be too big for the littlest kid that lived there. So back I came but that was OK because I knew my real mom was looking for me. And she found me!! When she goes to work my grandpa has volunteered to keep me company- so now everyone in the family is a volunteer! Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful help you gave me. Love from Duke D.
