Eliza and Betta are beautiful female English Creme golden retriever sisters who are both 3 years old. They had been used as breeder dogs. Betta had 3 litters and Eliza had 4. The county cited their owners for having too many dogs so the owners wanted the girls to have a chance at a better life so they gave the dogs to us. The former owner said that Eliza is the calmer one, although they both are pretty active; they love to run and wrestle with each other. These girls traveled from Russia together (excellent bloodlines) and we wanted them to remain together. Now in their new home our wish and their dream will come true! They have been adopted by a wonderful new family who came, along with their son and other dog, from Alabama just to meet them! Of course, it was love at first sniff! Their new sister, Ashley, is an 11 year old Australian shepherd and their new human brother, Cole, is a 6 year old source of never-ending entertainment. Cole is very excited to be the owner of 3 dogs, fish and 2 birds. They are going to be very active with lots of walks, hikes and eventually swimming at the lake house. They have found the perfect dogs for their active household and said it was “well worth” the 7 hour round trip they made today to welcome Betta and Eliza into their family. To us, it’s just another golden fairy tale coming true…
