Meet Elroy – a 2 year old male golden who was an owner surrender to a rural Alabama shelter. He is a really sweet boy. Unfortunately, he had a terrible vet do his neuter and he immediately got a bad infection. One of our very loyal volunteers in Alabama picked him up and drove for hours to take him to one of our vets in Birmingham. He also had a mild case of heartworms but Dekalb Tire came to his rescue and those things are gone! This poor guy could not catch a break, but now poor Elroy is now lucky Elroy – or lucky Finnegan! After finally making his way to Atlanta, he has also made his way into his new home. That’s were his new name came in too. After his back luck streak, they thought a lucky Irish name would suit him. Mom and dad instantly knew this was their boy and now his is living the good life. His new family is very familiar with goldens, and they were eager to provide a loving home to a new addition for their family. He will also have three human brothers…a 10 year old, 6 year old, and 3 year old. Mom is a part-time homemaker and part-time learning specialist. Dad is a business consultant. So Finnegan will have the perfect balance of people to spoil him throughout the day!
