IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE TELL YOU THAT FLAPJACK CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE. DURING THE LAST 3 DAYS, FLAPJACK HAS EXPERIENCED A SEVERE NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER WHICH CAUSED HIM TO GO THROUGH SERIOUS, UNPREDICTABLE AGGRESSION ATTACKS. HIS EYES WOULD TURN RED AND HE WOULD GO INTO A BODY FREEZE AND THEN ATTACK. THIS WAS NOT A BEHAVIOR PROBLEM.HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE TODAY. Meet Flapjack – an energetic 1 year old male golden. Flapjack was turned into a shelter because “he is too much to handle”. Not, surprising since this dog had never been trained and weighs at least 90 pounds. He has huge feet! He just wants attention but to get it he would jump up or push you to pet him (not nudge but push). So when we got him, he went to training school to learn some basic manners. He will do best with an active adult who can take him running and hiking and playing with other dogs. He also needs a strong alpha parent — one who will establish leadership with him. Flapjack is a wonderful big dog and will be a great companion for the right family.
