Foster is a 4 year old, 75 pound male golden. His owner asked us to find him a new home because he simply was too much dog for this family. We soon learned that Foster was very well trained and enjoyed learning. He was very smart but required lots of exercise and thankfully he loved to play fetch. He would fetch a ball for hours!! Foster was also very much an Alpha dog and required rules, structure and leadership. Foster told us he wanted to be an only dog and that he was really more of a “people’s dog” than a “dogs dog.” We searched for a home where Foster could get lots of physical & mental exercise! It took some time but Foster found his perfect family. He has a Mom, Dad and 3 teenagers to play with and Foster has a new running partner! Mom is an avid runner – just like Foster was looking for. Last we heard, Foster was plain tuckered out after his first week of running so Mom had to slow down until Foster could get re-conditioned into a toned running machine. Foster is so happy and now knows his long wait for his family was well worth it.
