A lot of orphans have come and gone from my new home but I am staying! I’m sure glad my new family waited to choose me! Getting lost must have been my lucky day because look how it turned out after I got to AGA! They are guessing I am 7 or 8 years old but I can’t help them there. Dogs don’t know things like that. What I do know is manners and commands and I am going to teach all these things to the new dogs. First thing is I am going to tell them about the rule that if you need to use the bathroom you go outside. Out, out, out!!!! No accidents inside the house. Then I will demonstrate commands. First I’ll “sit” and tell them to copy me. Then I will hold up my paw for “shake” and tell them to do that too. Then I’ll explain how you get a treat and how you sleep on the dog bed (or the people bed-depending) and no pulling on the leash. Whew, I’m worn out already! When that happens I guess I’ll teach them about taking a nap. I can understand why dad and mom needed my help- it’s a lot of work being a foster family but I told them, “Never fear- Augie Doggie is here. That’s my new name. Well, the Augie part which is short for Augusto. (I added the Doggie part) . So, I’ve got to go now and get ready to be a foster dog teacher. I think I’m going to need a desk so I’ll go ask about that now. Your pal, Gilman, nka Augie
