Gracie is a wonderful 8 year old female golden who came into our program about 3 years ago under the name Lacey. For those years, she has lived with her family and her lab brother. All was well until the baby arrived. Gracie was scared of the baby. Her family thought it best to return her to us. We knew it was best to find Gracie a forever home where she would be spoiled rotten, loved and adored, and maybe even have the company of another dog too. Well Gracie must be graced by the golden gods because she managed to snag herself one of the best forever homes a dog could ask for. Gracie was adopted by the same wonderful family that adopted Elliot a year ago. Elliot was rescued from a kill shelter in north Georgia where he was living in a wooden box that was on stilts. He was scheduled to be put down the morning we got him. He was 15 pounds underweight and in really bad shape. Elliot’s family (Gracie’s new forevers) turned Elliot’s life around, and now they have given him the best gift of all- his soul mate. It was love at first sight when Gracie and Elliot met. From the moment they saw each other it was clear these two were meant to be together forever. Mom saw it too and she couldn’t wait to make Gracie her own. These days Elliot is busy showing Gracie all over their big farm. There’s a big lake for summertime dips and a huge fenced in yard for hours of running and chasing. Elliot’s favorite thing to do is ride in the golf cart and has never looked better cruising around than he does now with his girl by his side. Another very happy ending for two truly golden doggies!
