Gus, a 9 year old male purebred golden, grew up with a guy who met a girl and fell in love. Unfortunately, the girl didn’t fall for Gus. She said “yes” to the marriage proposal but “no dogs”. So out went Gus and the little mix Gus lived with. In fact, Gus and his doggy friend were living in the old house by themselves while the owner came to feed and walk them each day. A kind neighbor finally took the dogs and said he would find them a home. It is a tragic story and it becomes worse when you meet Gus – a happy go lucky guy who is so confused. But now Gus has a forever home and has finally gathered his wits. Gus’s new mom and dad are wonderful people who have owned golden retrievers before and are true pet lovers. They have a 2.5 year old daughter that Gus will help raise and an 11 year old Siberian Husky to play with. There are also 3 cats that share the house but Gus likes them just fine. The whole gang lives out in the country with a big fenced in yard and plenty of room to roam. After a hard few months Gus can finally get comfortable and know he now has a family that won’t ever let him go.
