Meet Caesar Augustus, a handsome, 4-year-old AKC registered male Golden whose dignified name belies the goofy, playful pup we know by his lovable nickname “Gus”. Gus was an owner surrender who came to us from sunny Florida, passed on from a young golden rescue agency who didn’t have a foster home for him – he liked being the only dog in the house, and fortunately we were able to provide that to him. He also went for an evaluation with our friends at Canine Assistants, who found him to be a bright and VERY friendly guy who adores people. In fact, he is your classic “Velcro Dog” who just wants to be by his humans’ side every minute and will go anywhere just to be with you. Gus has great energy, can run like the wind and loves, loves, loves! to chase a tennis ball. Now he playing lots of tennis ball games in his new home with his new people – well, when he isn’t trying to lick them to death with excitement and unending gratitude! Mom and dad are thrilled over their recent furry addition and of course, Gus is thrilled too. Just a few months ago they said goodbye to their 15 1/2 year old golden love and they have missed her greatly. Gus is hoping to help heal their human hearts through his puppy antics (yes, he still wiggles and leaps like a puppy) and his pure golden kindness and love. Mom works from home so Gus and mom will be the best of pals and when dad gets home they will tell him all about their daily adventures. Whoever said that 3 is a crowd, sure hasn’t met Gus!
