I am a 5 year old fellow, and I’m a big one at 96 pounds! Some may call me chubby, but I say my weight is just because I have such a big heart…like my name, HART! A while ago, however, my heart was heavy, and I was so sad. I grew up living with a family, and then one day they took me to a shelter and told me that they didn’t want me anymore. I don’t know why they did that, but I do know that I didn’t like that shelter one bit! Thank goodness AGA found me. They were very nice to me and took me to the doctor who told me that I was perfectly healthy, but I should maybe go on the Atkins or South Beach Diet, whatever that means. Well, one day, I went to adoption day, and I met the most wonderful family. Maybe they’d want take me home and fix my broken heart? I tried not to get my hopes up, but I couldn’t stop thinking about them. Within a few days, I heard that they loved me, too! We met a few more times, and then THEY ADOPTED ME! I am so excited, I’ve been running around everywhere in pure joy! (Burning those calories, doc!) I now have a new mama and papa and a baby sister. Dad and I like to bond in our fenced-in yard. He says I’m a great landscaper! Mom studies A LOT, but she’s lucky she has me because I give her all the answers and some kisses. She thinks I’m smart, and she rubs my head before she leaves for school for luck! But my little human sister holds the key to my heart. I promised everyone that I would always take care of her, as her big Golden brother. She is very nice to me, too, and rarely pulls my fur! Well, it sounds like Dad wants to get my opinion on where to put the petunias! Thanks, AGA, for rescuing me and making my little heart go pitter-patter again. Your friend, HART
