Hawthorne was found as a stray and estimated to be around 5 years of age. When he was found his legs had wounds on them and it almost looked like he was tied up. He only weighed 67 pounds and was in desperate need of a lot of love and a lot of treats. So we found Hawthorne a forever home where he is sure to be spoiled rotten. Hawthorne’s new forever dad picked him out special after meeting a number of our other dogs. Dad grew up with goldens and couldn’t wait to have one of his own. He and Hawthorne clicked immediately and now they will share that bond forever. Mom is great too. She often works from an office with 2 other goldens so on those days Hawthorne will get to go to work and play all day with the other dogs. At home though, Hawthorne is king. We know he will be getting all the love, affection, attention, and not to mention table scraps, he missed out on all those years. He may have had a hard life before coming to us but we know, for this guy, it’s all golden from here on out!
