Well, hello there! I am a 9-1/2 year old Golden Girl and as you can see by my picture, I’m of the Hunter Red variety with an ear-to-ear smile and a big ol’ white face! I’ve never been shy about my grey fur; it means wisdom, you know! I’ve always been a lady of positive energy, so I knew it was a good sign when my daughter, Gingerbread, and I came to AGA from North Carolina. Well, Gingerbread’s the most beautiful girl this side of the Mississippi with the daintiest manners (which I personally taught her), so I knew she’d have no problem finding a forever home… but what about an old maid like me? Well, no need to worry! I’ve found my soul mate! My new forever home may only be one person, but she’s a whole lot of love. We’re both approaching our twilight years, but we don’t look at it that way. For me, the best years are yet to come. We love to talk to each other and share our stories. My new mama has had several other dogs before me, so she knows all about me already. She’s very smart, and she is teaching me new vocabulary words. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new words, right?! I could not be happier, and thank you to AGA for finding new homes for me and Gingerbread. Love, Honeysuckle (Mama’s changed my name to Rosie! And I love it!)
