Horton is a 3 year old male golden retriever/great pyrenees mix. He was picked up as a stray and taken to the shelter. Although Horton is a mix, we do take goldens who are part Great Pyrenees because they have wonderful temperaments and are the best of each breed — friendly yet calm. We knew that we could not let Horton die in the shelter and that we could find him a great home. Well, another promise kept! Horton is home! He had a perfect Thanksgiving Day at his new home in Alabama with his new family. They had been patiently waiting for the perfect dog for their growing family. Mom and dad recently adopted their foster children and it seemed perfect to adopt a dog in need as well. Horton is now busy playing with the children and checking out his new home and cat mates and any thought of returning to his life on the road is long gone. Congratulations to Horton and his perfect new family!
