My name is Huxley, and I’m a 5-year-old golden boy weighing 95 pounds. I may be a big boy, but I have an even bigger heart and a wonderfully gentle personality.
I came to AGA after my breeder decided it was time for me to retire from breeding and find a family of my own. I’ve spent much of my life outside, so I’m still learning what it means to be an indoor pet. But I have shown everyone at AGA that I am a calm, approachable boy who is taking all these new experiences in stride.
I’m good with other dogs and children ages 6+, and would do best in a home without cats. I’m also partly house-trained and walk nicely on a leash. I enjoy car rides, swimming, and running, and I’m looking forward to discovering all the fun that comes with my forever family.
At about 95 pounds, I’m definitely a big boy! I’m gentle when taking treats, easygoing with new people, and handled my first car ride and vet visit like a champ.
I may still have a few things to learn about being an indoor pup, but I’m ready for a patient family who will help me discover all the wonderful things I’ve been missing.
After spending years helping raise puppies, I think it’s finally time for someone to spoil me. With big golden hugs, Huxley
