Jack is an AKC registered purebred male golden from a kennel in Tennessee. He’s had some upheaval in his life lately but you would never know it by that happy smile! His first owner lost his job and was evicted … guess what, that means Jack was evicted too. The owner signed him over to a nice Doctor friend who already has a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd. Jack fit in just fine with the other dogs and there was no trouble whatsoever but the Doc decided it was just too overwhelming for him (the Doctor). Also, it seems that Jack jumped the 4 foot fence and Doc was afraid his other two dogs would follow him and he’d never see them again. Jack is healthy and is pretty well trained except for that fence issue so we had to find him a home with a tall fence. Instead, we found a family willing to change their fence just so they could adopt Jack- now that’s love. Jack’s new forever home is great. He has a little girl to look after, and a dad who makes his own schedule and as already shuffled some things around just to spend some quality time with his new golden boy. Jack also has an aunt who is currently living with the family and she has a 2 year old female bulldog. Jack loves having a pal to run and play with. These days Jack is treated like a king. Dad is especially good at training dogs so Jack is learning lots of new tricks and is given lots of yummy treats in return. Jack never did lose that smile. Perhaps he always knew that, despite some rough times, his forever was sure to turn out golden- and boy has it ever!
