Jack is a 2 year old purebred male golden who has lived his entire short life as a stud dog. The breeder who owned Jack also owned Ginger and Nilla. She had to give up all of her dogs (she had more but placed them with others) due to a personal tragedy. We agreed to take her 3 last dogs. They all had heartworms and she hadn’t been able to place them. Now, thanks to our friends at Dekalb Tire, Jack’s heartworms are a thing of the past. Initially he was very shy but he is learning to open up and trust people. He took his cues from his Canine foster sister and slowly became a sweet, lovable, happy and well-adjusted boy. Although he is continuing to work on socialization, he has the right new mom to help. Mom is also an elementary teacher, so she knows just how to get into little minds and make them love her. In addtion, Jack will have a 4 year old golden sibling to help him along. Mom has grown kids and grandkids that visit frequently. With mom’s love and patience this boy will be bright and shining in no time.
