Betcha can’t guess where I’m from! Ha Ha- the Big Apple is what we Yankees call it! My owner left me at a shelter there when I was just 7 months old. He said I was too active and needed training and he didn’t have time to do that. Did you ever hear such a thing? Did he think that puppies come knowing everything and how to behave and how to entertain themselves? Well- duh! I tried out another place but didn’t much care for that person who made me nervous and I thought was trying to get my food. I snapped at them. When you keep getting bounced around and you are just a kid sometimes you don’t know how to act. Since I didn’t have much luck there I decided to come South. AGA was the only place who would help me because I snapped and the shelter didn’t want to put me down (whatever that means) but I needed a rescue and AGA stood up and said, “come on down”. AGA started to help me learn the things I missed when I was little but I am 13 months old and I was acting up. Somedays I was good and somedays, I just had a mind of mine own and didn’t want to listen. AGA kept telling me I wasn’t ready to be adopted and they were right. Although I liked bellyrubs, I couldn’t find anything to be happy about until the day SHE came to look at me. She talked to me….like a dog whisperer. I did everything she said. She knew exactly what I needed. She said I have to be kept busy and she said I needed to work. And guess what? I am going to be a Search & Rescue dog. I think that is very honorable. I will do my best to rescue people because I know what it is like to be rescued. I am also going to be in the movies and in commericals because as you can see, I am very handsome. When I get my first gig, I will tell the AGA folks to let you all know so you can scream “it’s Jack NYC!!” Thank you for helping me find where I belong in the world and thanks to my NY friends for saving me and getting me to Georgia. Love, Jack NYC
