Meet Jackson, a 20 month old purebred male golden retriever. He was given to a woman as a gift when he was 3 months old (always a horrible idea, right?). Everyone should be able to decide when they are “ready” for such a commitment and responsibility. The former owner ended up living with an ill sister with serious health issues. Due to the sister’s condition, Jackson was forced to stay in the woman’s bedroom most of the time when she was away. He wasn’t getting the exercise, playtime, and social time that every golden deserves. He cried every time that the woman left him and she knew he was unhappy on his own. She loved him very much, but knew he deserved a better setup so she asked us to help! That’s when Jackson life took a turn for the better! After a short stay in one of our wonderful foster homes, Jackson is living the good life with his new peeps – a wonderful soon-to-be-married couple that have grandchildren … a perfect combo! Mom and dad wanted a furry addition the their family. Their children are grown and they have grandkids that visit. And in his new home Jackson will have constant companionship and attention! He’ll go everywhere with them, ranging from running errands around town, to out of town trips. They are even installing a fence just for Jackson, so that he will have plenty of space for playing fetch! Now Jackson can enjoy the spoils of being a truly loved and spoiled golden boy!
