Jake is a 2-3 year old male golden retriever who has had a bit of a bumpy road. First he was sitting in a shelter in Alabama that was closing due to lack of funding. We said we would take Jake. Then we heard he was being adopted. Then we found out his adopters didn’t want him because he was Heartworm positive and needed treated. So we took Jake and thanks to Zac Berg asking his dad and mom (Kevin & Carrie) to help Jake in honor of Grandma and Papa’s dog Shadow, Jake is Heartworm free! Once Jake was healthy we took him to adoption day where he found a wonderful home in Greenville, South Carolina. Jake’s new mom is an interior designer who works from home. Jake has his color palate under one paw, his fabric books under another and is boasting his tape measure proudly upon his tail. He is certainly ready to go to work with mom. Then when he’s not working with mom, he’s “hoping” to go to work with dad. Well, those are high hopes. Dad owns a restaurant chain and Jake just loves the way dad smells when he comes home – the perfect blend of steaks and ribs. Umm, umm, umm. Maybe Jake will get a t-bone in his stocking for Christmas?
