In August 2009 Jake and Autumn, both at the age of 14 years old, became AGA dogs. They had been together almost their entire lives but their parents made the decision to give them up because a baby was on the horizon. AGA took them right in and never looked back. We promised this special senior pair we would love and care for them and not to worry one minute. We turned to one of our terrific fosters for that special home and asked him to be their foster dad. He was more than happy to take them under his wing. Well, he did now after his love and patience this wonderful pair have finally found their new home. It all started with a call from a nice lady has called and she and her husband want to adopt Jake and Autumn. She said they really want to give a senior dog(s) all the love they could ever want for as long as they have. Well, after their application was approved, their home visit completed and the initial meeting went well, the deal was done. Jake and Autumn had their new home. They are now getting to know their new family. They have a couple of canine siblings that are quickly filling these two in on the house rules. Mom is retired, but dad certainly makes up for his absence when he gets home. He jumps right on the floor to greet and love on his canine friends. Sometimes good things (and people) are really worth the wait…
