Well, I have reached the point that every dog dreads. My owner is a senior too and can no longer take care of me. I have always lived outside in a dog house called an “igloo” and my bed has always been sawdust. Not the best living conditions and, of course, I also have some “old dog” problems like some arthritis and the beginning of cataracts which makes things look a little fuzzy. My foster and I had a meeting and wrote down all the good points about me. Well, she did the writing but I checked the spelling! We agreed that my house manners are great and I am not a mischief maker! I would love to move into a family where there is already a friendly brother or sister dog. I do love other dogs – sometimes they are the only ones who can understand you. You would think that at the age of 13 (just had a birthday) that toys and games would not interest me but that’s not true! I love the soft, squishy toys you can take out of the toy basket and spread them all around. As for games, bring out those yellow balls and I’m ready to run and chase them! And last, there is nothing like a stroll around the neighborhood in my leash and collar. I have waited so long to be someone’s boy, to live inside and to be someone’s best friend. Could you make all of that come true and take me home? Thank you – I would be so grateful and would love you 100%!
P.S.- My foster is adding one thing to my list! He says I am the sweetest boy ever! Hugs from Jake
