Jarrett is a young male golden retriever who was found hanging around a racetrack so knowing he had the thrill of speed in his genes, we named him Jarrett. He is estimated to be about 2-3 years old. He is a sweet boy who is a typical, goofy golden. Unfortunately, Jarrett had heartworms but thanks to our friends at Dekalb Tire those nasty things are a distant memory! Now Jarrett is on his way to making happy golden memories with his new family. Jarrett has a new mom and dad and two canine siblings named Shortcake and LuLu. He will be the man dog of the house (but don’t tell dad). Jarrett will be getting a new name… in fact he has had several today: Dudley, Dexter, Duncan and about 20 more but the “D’s” seem to be high on the list. Mom had had her eye on Jarrett for the last month of his heartworm treatment… and after a sleep over the deal was done. Jarrett was a keeper. Mom and dad recently lost Shadow, their male golden, and it’s like Shadow picked Jarrett for them. He is a perfectly trained dog with no issues. This guy will be spoiled rotten, go for long walks everyday with AGA alumni Bessie Mae (formerly Pressley) and will chill out and watch Oprah at 3 pm during nap time. What a life. Shortcake (the diva in the house) is a Happy Tails dog and now ‘whatever his name is’ will follow in her pawprints.
