Meet Jasper. This sweet beautiful boy had a rough time. He was initially surrendered at the age of 16months because someone didn’t have time for him. This poor guy ate a towel he was so nervous. That was his first surgery with us and his second stomach surgery. Then for 10 months his list of struggles continued. He went through numerous fosters in an effort to find the right one for him. Then medication to calm him, extreme exercise to help with his anxiety, numerous specialist and ate many more would inedible objects. His severe anxiety issues then took a turn for the worse. One minute he would be calm and the next he would lunge and bite. He sent someone to the ER. It was like a switch went off in his head and he became another dog — a dangerous dog. We suspect he may have had something going on in his head — his head was flat on one side so it could have happened at birth or he could have had a tumor. We don’t know but Jasper was no longer Jasper and his aggressive behavior was escalating. We were forced to make a hard choice, but the right choice. We had to end his suffering and now hope he is in a better place because he was miserable on this earth.
