Kelsey & Carter, 1.5 year old purebred Goldens, were found exploring a golf course. They were obviously best friends and needed to stay together…and together they stayed … until their new adoptive Dad lost his job. Mom and Dad had to let the live-in nanny (who was staying with the baby go.) Grandma had to step in to replace the nanny. And, you guessed it — Grandma didn’t like dogs and said the dogs must go. Kelsey & Carter were confused and we vowed to keep these 2 together since that was the only thing that had been constant in their lives. We looked and looked and kept taking them to adoption day but couldn’t find someone who wanted two young dogs. We soon noticed that one of our volunteers always wanted to hold them at adoption day. We don’t know when it actually happened but he fell hard for these golfing buddies. So hard that he went out and bought a house so he could adopt them. We think that’s pretty special but he is one of our volunteers and we already know what a special guy he is. Kelsey & Carter will be staying put.
