Lady is a 6 month old female golden retriever who found herself at at a shelter all alone. Her previous owner called our voicemail and left a message that if someone would not pick her up THAT NIGHT she would take her to the pound the next morning. Well, we didn’t get the message in time and Lady ended up at the pound. Lucky for Lady we knew the shelter director. They took good care of her until we got. We found Lady to be simply precious and VERY sweet. For some odd reason, she was afraid of going over thresholds and through door frames. However, she will face her fear just as Cody, her sponsor, did. Cody is a sweet golden boy who was drawn to Lady, so he paid (with permission of his parents) for Lady’s heartworm treatment. He thinks she’s pretty! Now, she is healthy and happy in her new home! Mom and dad came to meet her on their way through from Florida to Virginia. They had to stay overnight because it was love at fist sight! When they left, Lady left to enjoy her new home in Virginia! She will have a wonderful happy life with her new family and we’re sure that she’ll think of her friend Cody everyday!
