When I first came to AGA I was pretty much a mess! Not what a lady should be! I was in a shelter way up in Chattanooga and I had heartworms and my coat was all matted and I had gained too much weight. At first they thought I was 5 and then the doctor said, “No, I think more like 8 years old.” They also found out that my back, hips and knee were stiff from arthritis and I needed some medicine to make me comfortable. I had some wonderful people and two dogs help me pay for my heartworm medicine. Mary Catherine and Lisa Marie Haralson told their mom and dad I needed help and they sent the money. That was such a special gift to me! When I got better, we started looking for a home with not too many steps and someone who liked to take walks for exercise. And we found them! A new mom and dad and even a cat! Well, the cat doesn’t take walks but that’s OK because we are becoming good friends. I am learning all kinds of things like riding in the car to do errands (my job is to “wait”) and how to stay quietly in the house if just me and the cat are home alone ( my job is to take a nap). I have the best life ever! Love you all, Lady
