Meet Liberty Belle, a wonderful 6 year old female golden whose owner had to turn to us for her medical care. Liberty had a bum leg and needed an operation. In 2002, Liberty Belle had a joint infection in the wrist bones of her left front leg. The infection was successfully treated however the bones began to deteriorate causing her significant pain and lameness. She was treated with pain medication for the last several years however it no longer provided her any relief and she was constantly suffering. Her only option was surgery to fuse the wrist bones. Thanks to all you AGA supporters we were able to raise enough money to give Libby her surgery and ensure a pain free forever. We thought all Libby needed now was a forever home, as it turns out she already had one, it was just that no one had told her foster family. But in time Liberty Bell’s fosters began to see there was no way they could give this girl away. They had nursed Libby through two leg surgeries. After seeing her in so much pain, mom and dad couldn’t give up the change to watch Libby enjoy all the golden things in life pain free. So after many months Liberty Bell’s foster family has become her forever family. Her good pal, Kingsley, also an Adopt a Golden alum, is now her brother and all the love and attention she has come to know with this family will last forever!
