Lilli is a 10 month old purebred female golden retriever. She was tearfully surrendered because her former owner could not manage a puppy, working full time and facing knee surgery. She loved Lilli so much but knew in her heart that she really needs a more active life. The former owner wrote this when filling out the surrender form online “This dog needs children and a family to be with. She is loveable and sweet I want her to get a loving home. I do not want her to go to the local shelter. I need to know she will be well taken care of. I am very upset to have to give her up.” We are so happy she turned to AGA! Lilli was in our program 1 hour and 10 minutes before she was adopted. Her new mom was looking for a female to be pals with her 8 year old Jake. She had recently lost her previous Lilli to cancer and the fit just seemed right! Lilli not only had the name of mom’s golden she recently lost, her AKC pedigree showed that Lilli’s mother was Daisy and mom has previously had a Daisy girl too! Lilli is now Holly and will be spoiled rotten. She will never left alone, has a golden brother who is deaf and Holly will be his ears.
